Home Work challenge A5

Rimu is  a tree found in forests around New zealand. It has two name which one is Rimu and the other is Dacrydium cupressinum But thats its scientific name. Rimu is one of the canopy trees in the forest which means it usually is the tree that grows right up to the top. The Rimu tree has little olive green needles  that grow on it and its grey bark is quite flaky and sticks up off the tree. Its life span is about 800-900 years. it also grows up to about 50 meters high with a 2m diameter. They say that Rimu is a great use for furniture building and plywood. Rimu gum is used to stop wounds bleeding. This tree is all through out our forest at ngamuwahine and I hope one day you will be lucky enough to see this tree.

Swimming Sports

At swimming sports  I didn't swim because the day before I injured my wrist playing cricket at p.e. So I spent the day helping out. I mostly gave out popsicle sticks for people that placed first. The color of the sticks I gave out were red. The red ones meant first place lots of people in my classroom placed first. I think my classroom are definitely the best swimmers as we came first in the class relay and first overall. But all of my house a great swimmers but my class is the best.

My first month at T.I.S

My first month at Tauranga Intermediate. In my first month I have caught up with a whole heap of new people and also seen my old year seven friends. So far I have learnt about bedmas exponents and much much more. I have already achieved one of my goals . One of my goals was to get selected for our cricket first eleven I currently am and have played our first game already. Our first game was against Bethlehem college at our school which we won. I have loved going out for fitness everyday and love p.e. I have enjoyed working in Miss Campbells class. I am currently working on improving my maths and writing. This year I hope to improve my cricket skills and get fitter each term. This year will be a good one with a lot of challenges some will be hard and some will be easy but if you try your hardest you'll concur all of them.
